Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Gita Companion mobile application ("App") operated by Gita Companion ("we," "our," or "us").
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Gita Companion is a mobile application that provides access to the Bhagavad Gita text, including:
- Sanskrit verses
- Transliterations
- English translations and meanings
- Bookmarking and note-taking features
- Search functionality
User Responsibilities
When using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or hack the App
- Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
Intellectual Property
The App and its original content (excluding user-generated content like notes and bookmarks) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Bhagavad Gita text itself is in the public domain.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any proprietary content from the App without our express written permission.
User-Generated Content
Any notes, bookmarks, or other content you create within the App remains your property. This content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of content
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any errors or omissions in the content
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any other matter relating to the App
Updates and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
